If you missed our Memorial Day Little Wars event you can check out pictures on the Recent
Events page.  This historic game is considered by some to be the first modern table top war
game!
Little Wars was written by the famous author
H. G. Wells (Time Machine, Invisible Man,
War of the Worlds)
in 1913 and is a set of rules for playing with toy soldiers. Its amusing full
title is
"Little Wars: a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and
for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys' games and books"
.

If you weren't at Wacky Wombat this past Sunday (5/20)
you missed a new take on the
Battle of Thermopylae.
Inspired by the film and graphic novel
300, we translated
the battle into Star Wars miniatures format.  With 300
points of figures the formidable Felipe and Eric R held
the pass against 1,000 points controlled by Justin,
Charles, AJ, Greg, & Dan.
The goal for the "Spartans": keep at least one piece on
the board through round 10.  The "Persians" won the
day, but the Eric and Felipe didn't go without a fight and
held the pass through round 9!

Check out the pictures on the
Recent Events page.
